Acknowledgments

The editors wish to express gratitude to all those who organized, supported, participated, and presented at the 2023 Church History in the Pacific and Asia Conference with the theme “Voices of Latter-day Saint Women in the Pacific and Asia.” Each presentation provided a significant addition to help expand women’s voices in the Pacific and Asia regions of the Church. Furthermore, the editors would like to thank each of the chapter authors who were willing to contribute to this volume. Their willingness to write, rewrite, and rewrite again while providing additional research and revisions beyond their initial conference presentation was very much appreciated. Additional chapters or sections written independent of those presented at the conference were also appreciated. These efforts provided valuable contributions for this volume.

The editors are also grateful for the funds and support provided by Brigham Young University–Hawaii and the Jonathan Nāpela Center for Hawaiian and Pacific Studies and Brigham Young University’s Religious Studies Center and their staff for their support and assistance. Their support for this publication is much appreciated.

Most importantly, the editors are grateful for the countless Latter-day Saint women throughout the world, especially those in the Pacific and Asia, who quietly and humbly serve in countless ways, driven by their faith and testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ. Although this volume includes only a few of the numerous stories of faithful Latter-day Saint women, it is a significant work to help highlight the voices of these women who diligently sought to help establish the cause of Zion throughout the Pacific and Asia areas of the Church. The efforts and sacrifices of these covenant keeping daughters of our Heavenly Father, coupled with their courage and examples, are inspiring and touching, and their impact is eternal and everlasting.
